Safety

The internal security situation is good. The crime rate is relatively low. There are few muggings and robberies against foreigners.

The island is at risk of earthquake.

During the summer season (April to October) there is a risk of cyclonic phenomena (see climate)

Warnings
While in Taipei and other major cities, taxi service is safe and effective in the provinces and remote areas outside the capital, taxi drivers are not always reliable.
