WARNINGS
There are incidents of pickpocketing, especially in areas close to night clubs and casinos. And widespread prostitution.

Legislation planned for use and / or drug dealing. The possession and use of drugs is regulated by Decree-Law in Macao 5.91 / M and art. Local 284 of the Penal Code, which provides for prison sentences of up to twenty years for the crime of drug dealing.

Local law provided for sexual abuse or violence against children
Law 6/97/M of Rule 30.7.97, inter alia, crimes related to prostitution (international trafficking, exploitation, etc..).
Crimes against minors and the handicapped, such as: sexual abuse, violence, prostitution and abuse are punished with harsh prison sentences up to life imprisonment.
It should be remembered that those who commit crimes abroad against children (sexual abuse, exploitation, prostitution) are being prosecuted on their return based on the laws in force in our country.

The relationships with the local police are correct and cooperative.
In case of problems with local police (state detention or arrest) it is advisable to inform the consulates in Hong Kong for the necessary assistance.

Health situation

Local health facilities are quite adequate. In most cases, Westerners are turning, if necessary, the services offered by private clinics that offer a standard medical and health better than that of public service.
